Lives, Coins & Milestone Chests
Word Connect Association is free to play, and its economy is gentle compared with many mobile games. Still, understanding lives and coins helps you get through long sessions without waiting around.
Lives
- You have a limited number of lives, shown as hearts.
- Failing a level costs one life. Solving it costs nothing.
- Lives refill over time. The game shows "Next life in…" with a countdown, and can notify you when they are full.
- If you hit "No lives left!", you can wait, spend coins, or watch a rewarded ad to continue right away.
Coins
Coins are the game's only currency. You earn them by:
- Completing campaign levels
- Opening milestone chests
- Daily Puzzle streak bonuses (day 3, 7 and 30)
- Optional rewarded ads
You spend them on boosters (Topic Hint, Reveal Words, Magic Wand) and on refilling lives.
Milestone chests
As you move through the campaign, the home screen shows which level your next milestone chest unlocks at ("Chest at level…"). Reaching it opens the chest for a bonus. That makes it worth pushing a couple more levels when a chest is close.
The shop and Remove Ads
The shop sells coin packs of several sizes, from small top-ups to large bundles, plus a one-time Remove Ads purchase. None of it is needed to finish the game. Everything on this site is solvable with free coins and a bit of patience.
A simple coin budget
- Levels 1–50: don't spend anything. Boards average six rows and you'll bank coins quickly.
- Levels 51–100: boards jump to 8–9 rows. Use the free hint and the occasional Topic Hint.
- Levels 100+: almost every board has 8 or 9 rows. Keep enough coins for a Magic Wand at all times.
